Oh to be young again. If you are from my generation than you grew up in the 80's. What a carefree time it was. No worries, no major problems. All I was really worried about was how long I was going to be able to play outside with my friends til my mom called me in. We were playing Ghosts in the Graveyard, Kick the Can, Red Rover, Red light/Green light, kick ball, and tag. Well maybe I thought about a few things ;). I mean we all wanted our MTV. You know when they actually played music videos. The music was fun. It was definitely a big time for pop and heavy metal. I loved music that ranged from Madonna, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Guns n Roses, and Poison. I have to admit though I was more of a pop fan as a kid. I think I wore out my New Kids on the Block and Debbie Gibson cassette tapes. Remember how you would wait for your favorite song to come on the radio with you blank cassette to record it! I'm gonna take you way back here too cause I had Madonna and Micheal Jackson record albums. I think that's what I love the most from the 80's is the music. Saturday morning cartoons! Need I say more? Remember the old apple computers that were in school with the floppy disks. I can remember playing Oregon Trail in the computer lab. Oh and who remembers "Heads up 7up"? I remember the teachers making us play this a lot at the end of the day when it just started to get hot out and they would turn the lights off to make the room cooler. Ok that was random......lol. Barbie was my girl and Strawberry Shortcake wasn't too bad herself. You were cool if you had your birthday party at the roller-rink. We rocked the side ponytails and crimped hair. Boys had spikes and rat tails. We wore acid washed jeans, jean jackets, jelly bracelets, and layered different colored socks. I could go on and on with all the different memories. If you grew up in the 80's or are just a fan what do you remember or love the most about the 80's? I came across this song randomly when looking at videos on youtube. It was under the related videos. It got me nostalgic thinking of all the things that made the 80's so great. Plus this song is pretty fun to listen to. Here's a little video montage I made to the song. Man all the nostalgia. To go back just for a day would be so fun! That DeLorean from Back to the Future would be great right about now. I'd be there faster than you can say in your best valley girl impression, "Gag me with a spoon".
